Substance Abuse Treatment And Care for Women: Case Studies And Lessons Learned

In most countries of the world, the circumstances of women’s lives are very different from those of men. This is also reflected in their experience of substance use problems. The goal of this publication is to raise awareness about the treatment needs of women and to provide tools, suggestions and practical examples for overcoming access barriers, engaging women in treatment and providing treatment that is responsive to the specific needs of women.
